Dr. Yuri A. Vershinin joined Coventry University, as Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor in late 2000 after his research at Aston University, following on from his industrial career. His industrial work experience included digital systems design for automation and control. His recent research has been carried out in the area of self-tuning and adaptive control systems. He has worked in machine vision, image processing and computer graphics. He was the Principal Investigator in several engineering and consultancy projects financed by the EPSRC and industrial organisations. He led the scientific research group working on the project financed by the European Union Commission, which includes 19 partner organizations from 12 countries.
