Dr. Yuhan Yao received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Peking University in China, and his doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in the United States. In the NIO Autonomous Driving (AD) Department, Dr. Yao is currently leading the AD sensors and hardware architecture team and the next-gen AD solution delivery team. Before joining NIO, Dr. Yao worked as tech lead and system architect roles for Oracle, Apple and Waymo. Dr. Yuhan Yao has led efforts to deliver several industry-renowned products, including iPhone multi-touch capacitive sensing system, Waymo Driver lidar sensing system and NIO NT2.0 AD sensing and computing system.
