Nicolaj Stache received his diploma degree and doctoral degree with honor in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University in 2005 and 2010. While working towards his doctoral degree, he was a research scientist at the Institute of Imaging and Computer Vision, RWTH Aachen University, supervising several projects in industrial image analysis.
From 2010 to 2014 he was with Continental (ADC GmbH, Lindau), leading a team for algorithm development for camera-based driver assistance systems. In 2015 he was appointed „Leader for Sensorics“ at Continental Teves, where he was responsible for sensor architectures for automated driving. One year later, he set up the artificial intelligence center within Continental, a research group for sensor data interpretation, utilizing AI in the automotive field.
In 2016 he was a appointed professor of measurement technology and sensors at Heilbronn University in the degree program „Automotive Systems Engineering“. His research interest are perception and sensor data interpretation with AI for automotive applications.
