Nasser Mohammadiha is a Technical Specialist in Machine Learning at Zenuity AB and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. His main activities are on machine learning for active safety and autonomous driving and verification of such systems. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering in 2004 and 2006, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, in 2013. During 2012 to 2013, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA. Nasser was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oldenburg, Germany from 2013 until 2015, after which he joined Volvo Cars in Sweden where he has been working on machine learning and autonomous driving at Volvo Cars. He has been, among other activities, leading the research project BADA-SEMPA (Big Automotive Data Analytics: SEnsor Modeling and Performance Analysis). In 2017, Volvo Cars and Autoliv co-founded the new company Zenuity that specializes on autonomous driving software and Nasser moved to Zenuity. He is the author of more than 45 patents and peer-reviewed papers and his research interests include machine learning, big data analysis, and statistical signal processing.
