Principal Autonomous Driving Engineer and Full Project Lead, Daimler AG

Mohsen Sefati is currently the Technical Lead of Functional Testing for L5 Automated Driving at Daimler AG. Previoulsy he was a research associate at RWTH Aachen university. Till End of 2017, he was a team leader of the research group Autonomous Systems and responsible for the development of the Automated Special Purpose Vehicles especially in last mile fields such as Automated Delivery Van and Automated Shuttle. He received the M.Sc. degree in Automotive Engineering from RWTH Aachen university, Aachen, Germany in 2012 with the focus on control and dynamics. From 2012 to 2014 he was a research associate in the department of Automotive Engineering of TU Darmstadt, Darmstadt, Germany with the focus on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving. His main research interests are in the fields of collaborative and cooperative assistance vehicles as well as interaction and decision making frameworks under uncertainties for the fully automated vehicles.
