Dr. George Siogkas received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, after successfully defending his thesis on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems with Computer Vision methods in 2013. He also holds a MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineer and a MSc in Signal and Image Processing, both from the University of Patras.

His research has mainly focused on Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms for the Automotive sector, but he has also worked on Pattern Recognition and Statistical Processing for Biomedical Data. His research has been published in major International Journals and peer reviewed conferences.

His professional experience is diverse and spans from the academic world to the industry. In academia, among other positions, he served as the Head of the Engineering department and senior lecturer of New York College, Athens, Greece. In the industry, he worked as a Senior Algorithm Engineer for Valeo Vision Systems in Co. Galway, Ireland. During his last year for Valeo, he was the algorithm lead of the Deep Learning research team.

At the end of 2016, Dr. Siogkas founded CVRLab Ltd, a Computer Vision R&D consultancy company, the first contract of which started in March of 2017 with Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems Europe GmbH, on R&D for autonomous parking systems.

Dr Petros Kapsalas is currently working as a Computer Vision Expert in Panasonic for the last 5 months. He has been responsible for many algorithmic modules mainly related to Motion Analysis, Scene Segmentation and SLAM. He had been working in the automotive Sector for the last 4 years in Valeo Vision systems as a Vision expert and has delivered expertise in multiple Computer Vision topics. He is in close contact with premium suppliers and Vision Consultancy offices on a regular basis to push the limits of algorithmic accuracy. Petros Kapsalas studied Eletronics and Computer Engineering and received MS and PhD from the Technical University of Crete and the National Technical University of Athens respectively in the field of computer vision and Signal Processing. During his studies he was involved as PhD- Vision researcher in 4+ EU-funded research projects on the surveillance field and he had collaborated with many research institutes across Europe. He published 16+ publications in various conferences, journals and book chapters and holds patents in the field of computer vision and is reviewer of multiple IEEE conferences.
