Deep Driving Technologies & Computer Vision for Cognitive Vehicles

Auto.AI World 2018: Beyond the hype

The second edition of the Auto.AI was a huge success. The attendees, speakers and business partner from different industries put the success down to the rich mix of Autonomous Driving experts, the presentation content and the interactive sessions throughout the 2,5 days of the event.

In his keynote, Andre Roskopf talked about artificial intelligence as the driver of Autonomous Vehicles and the current use cases they have at BMW. Case studies on 3D computer vision for self-driving cars, developing an AI-based Level 4 vehicle for urban scenarios and learning & validation with synthetic data provided deep insights about the state of the art in AD. With keynotes about the advances of 3D Computer Vision for cognitive Machines, ranging all the way to the role of Artificial Intelligence in Space, one thing became clear: the autonomous cars will make our mobility smarter, more efficient and even safer. The interactive world café and challenge your peers’ sessions gave the experts and thought leader time to mix and mingle, discuss pressing developments in the field with professionals from different automotive branches, countries, and backgrounds.
