Giorgio is a Sensor fusion expert at the Automated Driving Technologies group of Magneti Marelli Italy, in the fields of sensor\data fusion and machine learning.
He received his M.Sc. (with honor) in computer science from the University of Naples Parthenope, in 2010, and PhD degrees in applied mathematics and computer science at
the University of Milan in 2014. During his PhD, he conducted research in machine learning and computer vision, focusing on online learning for visual object tracking.
Since 2014 he has been conducting industrial computer vision research and development at several companies.
In 2016 he joined the Magneti Marelli research group where he works on multiple object tracking for autonomous vehicles.
The Pop in your Job: What drives you / what is your passion:
Giorgio’s Pop in his Job and the passion which drives him are the challenges involved in understanding data sensed by multiple sensors for autonomous driving.
The most intriguing question guiding my work is: will be a combination of multiple sensors able to perceive the world around the car as human do?
